The District Chair and Deputy Chairs are always willing to make themselves available to offer pastoral support to ministers and their families. They can be contacted by phone or e-mail at any time.
The Distirct Chair also has access to the District benevolent fund.
This ecumenical service is supported by the Methodist Church and makes professional counselling available to ministers and their households at affordable prices. You can refer yourself to the service. More information can be obtained from their website at http://www.cmcs.org.uk/
Support for ministers experiencing relationship breakdown is provided for any minister, including probationers, whose recognised marriage or civil partnership is facing difficulties.
Ministers are encouraged to speak with their District Chair if they are presbyters, or with the Warden if they are deacons, as soon as difficulties arise.
There is additional support available through the Connexional Support Officers (CSOs), appointed through the Conference Office, who are available to offer further guidance and pastoral support. Access to the CSOs is initiated through the District Chair or Warden who will liaise with the Conference Office.
