Pastoral Support for ministers and their families
The District Chair and Deputy Chairs are always willing to make themselves available to offer pastoral support to ministers and their families.
They can be contacted by phone or e-mail at any time.
The Churches Ministerial Counselling Service is ecumenical, and supported by the Methodist Church, making professional counselling available to ministers and their households at affordable prices. You can refer yourself to the service.
Support for ministers experiencing relationship breakdown is provided for any minister, including probationers, whose marriage or civil partnership is facing difficulties.
Ministers are encouraged to speak with their District Chair if they are presbyters, or with the Warden if they are deacons, as soon as difficulties arise. The have ability to enable access to Connexional Support Officers (CSOs), who are available to offer further guidance and pastoral support.
The District Chair has access to the District benevolent fund, as well as ability to signpost or refer you to connexional financial support.
