rev rose westwoodRose moved to the SE district after serving 15 years in Cornwall where she was initially based in the Liskeard and Looe Circuit (working in largely rural churches and environments) and then as the first University Chaplain appointed to a Campus shared by the University of Exeter and University College Falmouth. This was an exciting post with challenges to establish and develop Chaplaincy for people of all faiths and none.

With a science degree in Geography and biology, Rose has maintained a passion for the natural world and has been very interested in the burgeoning area of eco-theology. Keen to explore different ways to make worship relevant for diverse communities, Roses’ own spiritual life is sustained and nourished in prayer and in sacramental worship.  In between work and studying, music, reading and walking have been integral parts of personal and family
